In more than 60 countries, MSF workers provide life saving assistance to populations in need, without discriminating based on race, religion, nationality or political affiliation. Right now, there are approximately 2,500 MSF international field workers in countries of need, alongside 20,000 locally hired staff. MSF projects are often carried out in difficult, complex and sometimes volatile contexts, so work can be tough and demanding. But according to our field workers, it is also very rewarding.

The medical activities vary with each project, ranging from simple curative work and mother-child care, to surgery and epidemic control.
