Job Overview

The Data Intern will work closely with the Data and retention teams to manage and design workflows pertaining to data exchange between the salesforce and our outsourced call centre teams. He/she will assist with developing better ways of tracking and reconciling the data coming back from the call centre by constantly ensuring all the updates are done in a timely manner and communicated with the Data. The Retentions Team is working towards having an automated process to perform the above steps. The data intern will also be responsible for cleaning the overall data and performing weekly health checks within Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow a workflow to acquire monthly data linked to campaigns as per the Retentions Manager specifications from Salesforce CRM.
  • Prepare the data and send it to the Call Centre Teams in a timely manner.
  • Receive and Reconcile Data from the Call Centre and make necessary updates per the reports.
  • Send monthly reports for the data and retention management team, demonstrating updates done on the salesforce and patterns relating to call centre agents in relation to how they work with the data. 
  • Review the quality of the data and perform quality checks to ensure appropriate data collection processes are followed and adhered to.
  • Capture/Update all our old e-mandate forms into Salesforce.
  • Assist the data team in cleansing historical donor information, such as mobile phone numbers, identity numbers, and donor addresses.
  • Capture data into Salesforce from third-party software like SMS platforms.
  • Provide data to team members as requested and assist with data analysis and reporting.
  • Any other responsibilities that are given by the Data Team or Fundraising team members.

Minimum requirements

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in informatics, marketing, or data analytics or similar [No working experience required].

Knowledge and skills:

  • The ability to work with big sets of data and Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerBI.

Remuneration Details:

  • Monthly Stipend: R 5000.
  • 100% Medical aid contribution.
  • Transport allowance.

  • Resources needed such as working space, computer, internet, stationery, and other resources will be made available.

Commitment:

  • Length of commitment: 12 months
